It Doesn’t Matter & You’re Not Enough
A reminder.
It doesn’t matter if you miss your train,
and no, you’re not a good-enough parent.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t get the job,
and no, you’re not a good-enough partner.
Whatever arbitrary thing you’re worried about,
it really doesn’t matter.
And no, you’re really
not
enough.
You’re a ball of aliveness
on a planet made of water
spending too much time worrying about
your versions
of what’s right,
of what’s enough.
What if you’re not enough? What if it’s all going to fade into dust?
What, then, becomes of your life?
Is there more love?
More brightness?
More ease?
More joy?
Wallow in this place.
Let it soak to your bones.
Because nothing
else
matters.
